Website Takeover Review
WordPress developer disappeared? Take back control of your website.
Your developer stopped answering, nobody else has the logins, and every week the site goes without updates the risk of a hack grows. One flat $249 review tells you who owns what, whether your backups work, whether your forms still reach you, and what to do first.
If the written plan does not tell you exactly where you stand, you pay nothing.
What the review covers
Who owns which login
Domain, hosting, WordPress admin, email, analytics and payment accounts. We list each one, who holds it today, and how to get it into your name.
Update status
WordPress version, every plugin and the theme, with the ones that are dangerously out of date marked plainly.
Backup check
Whether a backup exists, where it lives, and whether it actually restores. A backup nobody has tested is a guess.
Form test
We send real enquiries through every contact and booking form and confirm they reach your inbox.
Written plan
One document in plain language: what is urgent this week, what can wait, and what it would cost to fix, by us or anyone else.
What is not included
- Fixing the problems we find. That is quoted separately, and you are free to take the plan to another developer.
- Redesigns, new pages or content changes.
- Malware cleanup. If we find an infection, we tell you the same day and quote the flat $249 emergency clean.
- Chasing your old developer on your behalf for money or disputes.
You keep ownership
Every account stays in your name. We use our own removable logins and never move your site into our accounts.
Working hours
We reply within 8 to 12 hours, seven days a week, and agree a call time that suits your time zone.
A plan you can take anywhere
The written plan is yours. Use it with us, with a new developer, or to fix things yourself.
How it works
- 1
Day 1
Short form and a call
You tell us what you know, even if that is only the website address. We tell you which logins you need to recover first.
- 2
Days 1 to 3
Access recovered
Most owners can reset the domain and hosting in their own name with our step by step guidance. We never ask you to share your registrar password.
- 3
Within 5 working days
Review and plan
We run the review and send the written plan, then walk you through it on a call.
Start your takeover review
Only the website address is required. Tell us whatever you know about the old developer and the logins.
If the written plan does not tell you exactly where you stand, you pay nothing.
Questions owners ask
My developer will not reply. Can I still get control back?
Almost always. The domain and hosting are usually registered to your business or your card, so the providers will reset access for you once you prove ownership. We tell you exactly which documents each provider asks for.
Do I need to give you my passwords?
No. We ask for our own login wherever the platform allows it, so you can remove us later in one click. We never need your domain registrar or bank passwords.
Who owns the website after this?
You do. Every account we touch stays in your name. We do not move anything to our own accounts, and the written plan is yours to use with any developer.
Is this only for WordPress sites?
WordPress is most of what we see, but the login and ownership part works for any website. If the site runs on something else, we say so before you pay.
What happens after the review?
Nothing, unless you want it to. Some owners fix the urgent items themselves, some hire us on a care plan from $99 a month, some take the plan elsewhere. There is no follow on contract.
