The same monthly checklist we run for our own clients. Copy it, hand it to your team, or use it to grade your current provider.

• Confirm a full offsite backup ran in the last 24 hours
• Test restore one backup to a staging copy at least monthly
• Run WordPress core update in staging, smoke test, then push live
• Update plugins in batches, never blindly all at once
• Update themes, especially parent themes used by child themes
• Check PHP version is supported and on a current minor release
