WP Site Care (now SiteCare) is one of the original WordPress care providers, founded in 2012 and now operating with SOC 2 attestation and a Gold tier aimed at 7 figure B2B marketing teams and publishers. In 2026 pricing terms, SiteCare's public entry is in the mid 3 figures per month and their Gold tier lands closer to $500 to $800. We are a modern alternative at $99 Care, $199 Care Plus, $349 Commerce, and $799 Scale with per plan published response SLAs, self serve sign up, and a 30 day money back.
If you only have a minute, read this. Full comparison and proof below.
Pick us for a written per plan response time (down to 15 minutes on Scale), a named engineer from $199, and self serve sign up at $99. Pick SiteCare if you specifically need SOC 2 compliance baked in, or you are a 7 figure publisher who wants one of the longest running brands in WordPress care.
If brand heritage since 2012, SOC 2 attestation, or a long enterprise client list matters more than published per plan SLAs and self serve pricing, SiteCare is well established and the safe pick.

How we scored this
Every row in the table has a defensible source. If a claim isn't here, it isn't in the score. Last full re-verification: June 2026.
Public pricing pages, feature lists, and terms of service from WP Site Care (now SiteCare) as of the last update date, plus hands on experience running the same maintenance work we compare. When WP Site Care (now SiteCare) changes a plan, we update the row.
Winner is decided by what the buyer actually gets in the plan, not by which side markets it louder. If WP Site Care (now SiteCare) does something better than us, that row is theirs. Ties are called when the feature is materially the same.
We don't score claims we can't verify (e.g. 'best-in-class', 'enterprise-grade', anonymous testimonials). Response SLA, backup cadence, and included edit hours are only counted when they appear in the vendor's public terms.

No spin. Where they beat us, we say so. Winner cell is highlighted.

Talk to Scale tierPricing, as published
Copied from public pages, not from a sales call. Where a number is not published we say so rather than guess.

Gold and above
Quote only
Enterprise tiers with SOC 2 positioning are quoted per account.
Checked against each provider's public pages in July 2026. Prices change, so treat these as a starting point and ask for the current sheet before you sign. Where a provider gates a number behind a sales call, we write that instead of guessing.
From the support forums
Patterns we see repeated on the WordPress.org support forums, Reddit threads about WordPress care plans, and in handover calls when someone moves to us. Paraphrased, never copied, never attributed to a named person.
The brand name is genuinely confusing
Several similarly named domains sell WordPress care. Buyers report signing with one and thinking they signed with another.
How we handle it: One brand, one domain, one team page with real names and faces you can check before you pay anything.
Ecommerce coverage is unclear between tiers
Store owners want to know whether checkout monitoring and WooCommerce updates sit in Starter or need Business.
How we handle it: Our Commerce tier at $349 is explicitly WooCommerce, with checkout smoke tests after every update.
Compliance you may not need is priced in
SOC 2 matters in healthcare, finance and government procurement. On a normal B2B site it is budget spent on a checkbox.
How we handle it: If procurement demands SOC 2, we will tell you to buy it elsewhere. If it does not, you keep the difference.
Buyer checklist
Take this list to WP Site Care (now SiteCare), to us, and to the next three providers you shortlist. If a provider dodges more than two of these, keep looking.
What is your response time in writing, per plan, not on the marketing page?
Almost every provider advertises 24/7. Far fewer will put a number per plan in the contract. Ask for the clause, not the badge.
Do you test plugin updates on staging, and what do you roll back with?
The single most common care plan failure is an update pushed straight to production. Ask which staging tool, who reviews it, and how long a rollback takes.
Where do backups live, and when did you last restore one?
A backup nobody has restored is a guess. Ask for the date of the last restore drill on a site like yours.
If my site is hacked while on your plan, who pays for the cleanup?
Many plans include scanning but bill cleanup separately, often several hundred dollars. Get the answer before you need it.
Who is the actual human on my site, and will it be the same person next month?
Shared ticket queues mean explaining again your stack every time. Ask for a name, and ask what happens when that person is on leave.
Is there a minimum term, and how do I cancel?
Minimum terms and cancel by phone policies are the two clauses buyers regret most. Cancelling should be one email.
What is explicitly not included?
Content edits, new features, design changes, and third party integrations are the usual exclusions. Get the out of scope list in writing.
Can I see a real monthly report from an anonymised client?
Reports show what a provider actually does in a quiet month. If they cannot show one, the work may be thinner than the plan page suggests.

The most common reasons we hear are wanting a written per plan response time, faster onboarding without a sales call, and lower entry pricing for sites that do not need SOC 2. Both money back windows are 30 days, so trying us costs nothing.
WP Site Care now operates under the SiteCare brand. The team and offering continued; the brand name was updated. Same team, refreshed positioning.
If you sell into regulated industries (healthcare, finance, government), procurement may require SOC 2. If you run a standard B2B or ecommerce site, it is rarely a hard requirement. We will tell you honestly if SiteCare is the right pick for your specific compliance needs.
Gold is their B2B marketing and digital publisher tier with priority response and dedicated account management. Comparable in scope to our $349 Commerce or $799 Scale plan depending on traffic and ecommerce needs.
Most sites are onboarded inside 48 hours. We take a full backup, run a baseline audit, set up monitoring, and brief you in plain English before we touch anything live. Zero downtime, no missed emails, no broken links.
Every plan is covered by a 30 day money back guarantee in plain language. Cancel inside the first thirty days for any reason and you get a full refund. No forms, no friction.
No. We keep your URLs, redirects, sitemaps, and schema intact. We also baseline your Google Search Console before the move so we can prove ranking stability after.
Senior WordPress engineers based in the US and Pakistan, on call 24 by 7. From the $199 Care Plus plan, you get a named lead engineer who owns your site, replies on first name terms, and stays the same person month after month.
No. Emergency response is included in every care plan. If your site goes down at 2 AM, we are already on it before you wake up. No surprise invoices.
Yes. Monthly plans cancel any time with one email. Annual plans cancel inside the 30 day window for a full refund, and after that on a prorated basis. No retention loops, no forced calls.
