Editorial guidelines

How our WordPress guides are researched, tested, written by named engineers, reviewed and kept current.

Who writes our guides

Every guide is written or reviewed by a named engineer. Most are written by Ali Yasin Jatoi, a WordPress specialist with seven years of experience who now looks after 150+ client sites. Each post shows its author in the byline, linked to their author page. See the team page for who does what.

How we research

  • We start from real support work: what broke, what fixed it, and what stopped it coming back.
  • Version numbers, security issues and release dates come from primary sources such as WordPress.org, PHP.net and the NIST National Vulnerability Database.
  • Steps are tested on a staging site before we publish them.
  • Client stories are shared only with permission or anonymised under NDA. We never invent case studies, reviews or statistics.

Prices and claims

Our own prices match the pricing page. Competitor prices are taken from their public pages and dated. If we cannot verify a number, we leave it out.

Reviews and updates

Guides are reviewed when WordPress, PHP or a featured plugin changes in a way that affects the steps. The updated date at the top of a post shows the last real review. Corrections are made as soon as we spot them.

When we mention our services

Guides explain how to fix a problem yourself first. Where a fix is risky or slow, we say that we can do it for you and link to the matching service. We are not paid to mention other products.
