CDN (Content Delivery Network)
A global network of edge servers that serves your static files from the location closest to each visitor.

A CDN caches images, CSS, JavaScript, and increasingly full HTML pages at hundreds of locations worldwide. A visitor in Tokyo gets your site from Tokyo, not your origin server in Frankfurt. Cloudflare, BunnyCDN, and Fastly are common choices.
